When Hurricane Mitch hit Honduras in 1999, I was there to witness its destructive effects on an already-impoverished nation. It was mind-boggling the disaster that the precious people of Honduras had to live through: homes were wiped out completely, streets and buildings were flooded, people were separated from their families, the airport was under water, disease was rampant. Needless to say, this broke our heart in an irreparable way.
WOW, WOW, WOW! It is truly hard to put into words what has happened IN and THROUGH this ministry in the past few weeks. We stand back simply and utterly amazed at what the Lord has done, the doors He has opened, and the lives He has changed. Already this year, Grace & Glory has been to 5 different countries on 4 different continents! In January we saw the power of God at work in Canada; in February we saw the masses come to Christ in Honduras; in April we have seen an explosion of revival in both Germany and Poland; and we finished off the month by tracing the steps of Jesus in Israel. Incredible!
Grace and Glory Ministries was seeded deep within the hearts of Doug and Janet Rowland as their lives were completely changed by the fires of revival. Prior to their personal great awakening, Doug was a regular church attendee as well as a business man, living the "American Dream". Although the Lord was blessing his family and his business, Doug knew that there was something more for his life. In 1993, that cry in his heart was stirred when revival broke out in their local church.
